DISC EXPLANATION
Dominant
“D” will take responsibility for their own actions – they have a “motto” do now and ask forgiveness later.
- “D” is typically describe using words like demanding, decisive, pioneering, persistent, problem-solver, strong willed and competitive.
- “D” need to direct and be in control. They like to have options and make decision for themselves.
- “D” have a strong ego and desire to prove that they can do the things people say they couldn’t.
Influence
- “I” is typically describe using words like outgoing, inspiring, optimistic, trusting and sociable, convincing, enthusiastic, persuasive, demonstrative.
- They are adaptable person who are willing to be accepted by the group or be a part of the norm.
- “I” want to be involved in everything and anything as long it has a chance for them to interact with others.
Person who are “I” type tend to deal with people and enjoy being in new situation with new people.
Steadiness
“S” is always concern about their action affect others and what other people think.
- “S” is typically described as amiable, phlegmatic, relaxed, resistant to change, non-demonstrative, patient, possessive, predictable, friendly, understanding, steady, and stable.
- They are very supportive and caring toward other people and look to assist, help and work with them to make their live a little easier.
- “S” have a tendency to complete what they have started before they move on the next task.
Compliance
- “C” is often described as accurate, careful, analytical, dependent, conventional, exacting, systematic, and diplomatic.Intuitive design makes people feel comfortable using it without much training.
- Does not like “grey area”, they usually work “by the book”. If they are doing a task or project, they commonly ask someone or have something to ensure that they will complete the task.
- “C” always have preparation in doing things. They preferably become the best proven procedure in order to get best result.
“C” shows us how people deal with procedures and constraints, they really concern with procedures and instructions.
